Aperture Coupled Patch Antenna Array for Wireless Application

In this paper, the authors present design and implementation of Linear antenna array of size 1x4.The elemental base shape antenna utilizes rectangular aperture in the intermediate grounded plane :sandwiched in between two layers of dielectrics, to achieve higher gain, highly directional beam and also to counteract the effect of fading while signal propagates through various corrupted environments.. It is demonstrated that the proposed antenna can completely cover the required bandwidth range from 2190-to-2220 MHz in S- band domain. The antenna is micro strip line feeded and is simulated on IE3D Zeland software.
