Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) technology has seen increasing adoption rates in applications that range from supply chain management, asset tracking, Medical/Health Care applications, People tracking, Manufacturing, Retail, Warehouses, and Livestock Timing. Of these, Medical/Health care applications are of more importance because minute errors in it can cost heavy financial and personal losses. The success of these applications depends heavily on the quality of the data stream generated by the RFID readers. Efficient and accurate data cleaning is an essential task for the successful deployment of RFID systems. Hence this paper gives the brief introduction of RFID terminologies and cleaning methods to provide accurate RFID data to applications.
