Executive Summary

This paper describes a strictly controlled study of the impact that Classroom Learning Partner, a Tablet-PC-based classroom interaction system, had on student performance. The goal of the study was to test the hypothesis that the use of such a system improves student learning, especially among the poorest performing students. This paper describes the validation of that hypothesis, and the controls, performance metric, and assessment methodology that is developed in the course of this study.
