Executive Summary

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology through which the view of real world environment is augmented by computer generated elements/objects. Tracking and registration are the key challenges in AR system. This paper aims to perform a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) for the identification of challenges during tracking an object in augmented reality environment and how these challenges can be overcame. The authors have used a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) for Augmented Reality Tracking Techniques (ARTT). SLR is based on a structured protocol, and is therefore, different from ordinary literature review.
