Executive Summary

Military sensor-driven systems normally use FPGAs to interface with the Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs) that digitize sensor inputs. The ADCs operate at rates of up to 3 MSPS, which requires very high-performance Digital Signal Processing (DSP) circuitry, often implemented by FPGAs optimized for such DSP applications.
