Avoiding Unauthorized Data Inclusion Using SSCA in MMS Routing for Wireless Sensor Networks
In all the fields of communication, network security is taken into consideration whenever the data needs protection, authentication and confidentiality. To avoid fraudulent access and unauthorized hearing or inclusion many encryption and authentication methods are proposed. Here the authors proposed a Simple Symmetric Ciphering with Authentication (SSCA) algorithm to secure the routing information and to verify the authenticity of the node. Once the route is protected and nodes' authenticity is verified, then automatically the path for the inclusion of unauthorized data will be closed. They employed this new approach in the Multiple Mobile Sinks (MMS) routing for large wireless sensor networks. They have simulated using MATLAB and from the simulated results, they show that the unauthorized data inclusion is avoided with the low energy spent.
