After nearly 25 years of working with leaders the author has extracted leadership lessons from some pretty obscure experiences. But when a World War II veteran described his experiences as a member of a B-29 bomber crew, the lessons leaped right out at him. Even though the point of what he had to say had nothing to do with leadership, there were obvious leadership lessons embedded in his message. Yet there's something about how this man's crew worked together that seems to defy both stereotypical military and corporate leadership logic.
