Blocking Performance Enhancement Using Congestion Control in Optical Burst Switching Networks
Issue of congestion in Optical Burst Switching Networks is the main issue now days. Congestion occurs when the reception time is less than transmission time during the transfer of data. In this paper, the authors had used modified erlang's loss formulae to control the congestion in Optical Burst Switching Networks. This control of congestion is done by controlling the blocking probability. The Blocking Probability is related to Traffic Intensity also. Simulation results show that with the value of traffic intensity either less or more, blocking probability increases accordingly.
