Branch managers are responsible for the management of specialty or department stores. Their responsibilities include the profits of the store, the costs, stock, security and administration of the store, as well as the selection, interviewing and training of staff. Candidates should be between the ages of 22 and 45 years and can start their careers as salespersons or trainee managers. Branch managers must have good communication skills and be able to work well with people. They must be good leaders and be willing to take the responsibility of the management of a store. Prospective branch managers have to be very motivated, hard-working and willing to work overtime. Branch managers can work at any store that sells products or services.
