Executive Summary

Cloud computing is changing everything; every day new topics on the subject emerge. Data of every type is being placed within the cloud. In doing this, there is much uncertainty and fear as the control of data can seem out of the hands of the user. To assure business and the individual that cloud computing is an economic and safe place for their data, a standardized Service Level Agreement (SLA) that incorporates a "Bill of Rights" should be introduced. A standard SLA that cloud computing vendors can abide by and which can be verified by a third party organization can ease some of the common worries of privacy and security that goes along with placing a business' sensitive customer data on the cloud.
