This paper considers a three-node wireless relay channel consisting of a source, a destination and a relay in a Rayleigh-fading environment. This paper discussed the minimum consumption of time and power by the relay operating in the full-duplex mode for relaying data when the capacity of the channel between the Relay and the Destination (RD channel) is bigger than that of the channel between the Source and the Relay (SR channel). It proves that the ratio of the relay-transmit period to the given time window could be decreased at the cost of consuming more energy in that case.
