This paper investigates a tradeoff between the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) and channel capacity of the proposed PAPR reduction method based on Clipping and Filtering (CF) for pre-coded Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transmission in a frequency-selective faded channel. While the conventional CF method adds roughly the same interference power to each of the transmission streams, the proposed method restricts the interference power applied to the streams that experience good channel conditions.
