Chain Clustered Communication Protocol for WSN

A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is composed of a collection of sensor nodes. Sensor nodes being small energy constrained devices; hence the main focus is that these have to be as energy efficient as possible. The focus should also be on minimizing the transmitting and receiving of data, as these are expensive operations. Sensor webs consisting of nodes with limited battery power and wireless communications are deployed to collect useful information from the Region Of Interest (ROI). If each node transmits its sensed data directly to the base station then it will deplete its power quickly and reduces network lifetime.
