Each year, more and more new office computers are put to use. This causes a dramatic increase in global energy consumption, putting strain on the environment and corporate budgets. But the steady rise in energy consumption cannot be attributed solely to the number of computers purchased. This waste of power consumption causes unnecessary business expenditures. It also contributes to an increase in the burning of fossil fuels.
