Cloud computing is a style of computing where massively scalable IT-enabled capabilities are provided as a service over the network. It emerges as a new computing paradigm to support the maximum number of users and elastic services with the minimum resource. The evolution of Cloud computing can handle massive data as per on demand service. It is a complex infrastructure of software, hardware, processing and storage available as several service types. This paper reviews recent advances of Cloud computing, presents the layered structure of Cloud, and identifies the characteristics of emerging Cloud computing technology.
