Clustering Technique for Load Balancing in MANETs

Executive Summary

A Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs) are a collection of mobile nodes that can dynamically form a network to exchange information without using any pre-existing fixed network infrastructure and do not require any central administration. These mobile nodes will act as both node as well as routers. While routing the data these node need some load balancing technique as a part of traffic engineering solution. Here, in this paper a load balancing technique has been proposed where entire region is divided into clusters and identifying a cluster leader and cluster sub leader. To provide better QoS for real-time traffic in MANETs, clustering technique is used along with multicasting/broadcasting.
