Domain analysis is recommended by many in the reuse research as a main process for achieving successful reuse. Domain analysis is accomplished by reengineering techniques and domain analysis methods. Domain analysis is the process of identifying, collecting, organizing and representing the relevant information in a domain based upon the study of existing systems and their development histories, knowledge captured from domain experts and emerging technology within a domain. This paper discusses some generally used domain analysis methods. After studying many domain analysis methods some criteria has been found based on which the authors compared domain analysis methods.
