In this paper the performance of different receivers for Single-Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) transmission over frequency-selective fading channels is investigated. The receiver design is done for a single-user Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) system. Linear equalization in frequency domain according to the Minimum Mean-Squared Error (MMSE) criterion is compared to joint trellis-based equalization using Reduced State Sequence Estimation (RSSE). Finally, successive interference cancelation in time domain is considered, where the signals of the transmit antennas are equalized in subsequent stages.
