Comparison of Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks: A Detailed Survey

Recent advancement in wireless communication has led to the development of low cost, small devices that possess sensing, signal processing and capabilities of wireless communication. WSN consist of two terms i.e. wireless network and sensors. A wireless network is any type of computer network that uses wireless data connections for connecting network nodes and sensing is a process of gathering information about a physical object, including the occurrence of events (i.e., changes in state such as a drop in temperature or pressure). An object performing such a sensing task is called a sensor. A WSN consist of a large number of sensor nodes having wireless links for communicating.
