This paper will explain how to connect the laptop or desktop to the Internet using the (Nokia) mobile phone GPRS connection while running Ubuntu as the operating system. One may ask himself, 'Why on earth would I want to use the phone's 5kB/s connection when he has a broadband line at home?". Well, it's quite obvious: one can't use the broadband line unless he is at home. When a person is on the road and need an Internet connection, he will be able to use the one provided by the mobile phone. Or, he may find himself in a situation when he desperately needs an Internet connection and the shiny new broadband connection has broke down.
