Over the last few years, service providers have seen a dramatic shift in the business. Traditional revenues have been flat or declining, and increasingly, revenue is decoupled from the traffic being carried over networks, as customer's access content and services offered by third parties. In order to compete successfully, service providers are increasingly embracing a new business model, where partnerships with content service providers, application providers and handset vendors are crucial. In this new environment alternative and innovative services need to be prototyped, developed, tested and introduced at a very rapid pace.
