An INSENS protocol is proposed to construct secure Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) that prevent attacks aimed at the network layer of WSNs. To achieve these objectives, all nodes which compose the network, send the feedback message to the base station. The feedback message contains the information of all neighbourhood nodes of a sender node. Therefore, if it owns many neighbour nodes within its communication range, then this node sends many feedback messages. This case arouses excessive energy consumption of each node in the sensor network.
