Cooperated Beam-Forming Algorithm for Aiding the Outer Edge Users Using Fixed Relay Station
The most challenging issues that must be addressed when developing next generation wireless network standards throughput and Quality-of-Service (QoS).The current standards include MIMO (Multiple-Input/Multiple-Output) and the multi-hop relay technologies are the viable options for improving the channel capacity. This paper describes a Fixed relay station cooperated beam-forming technique which combines the MIMO and multi-hop relay to guarantee the QOS of edge users. The authors assume that the Fixed Relay Station (FRS) is in Line-Of-Sight (LOS) with the Base Station (BS). They define a criterion needed to install the FRS, and construct a weight matrix having a lower complexity. Finally they propose a user selection algorithm in sync with MIMO and multihop relay technologies.
