In this paper, the authors have defined the game theoretic rate region for the interference channel. The region is a subset of the rate region of the interference channel. They have shown that a specific point in the rate region given by the Nash bargaining solution is better than other points in the context of bargaining theory. They have shown conditions for the existence of such a point in the case of the FDM rate region. They have shown that computing the Nash bargaining solution over a frequency selective channel can be described as a convex optimization problem.
