Coopetition - Practical Methodology for Efficient Sharing of Radio Resources in Wireless Networks
In this paper, the authors present the idea of resource allocation using the coopetition methodology, which combines the advantages of both cooperative and competitive approaches. This idea is known from economics, as well as in some other fields, e.g., in the complex production and management systems. They show that the problem of radio resource allocation in wireless systems can be solved efficiently by using coopetition. They define new complete methodology, describe possible tools which can be used at each stage and present examples illustrating a new framework. Simulation results are also provided.
