In this paper, realistic performance of Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial (DVB-T) spectrum sensing are investigated for cognitive radio applications. To this end, an implementation of a cyclostationarity detector is proposed as an efficient means for signal detection under low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) conditions. This paper focuses on the design of a hardware testbed that performs the cyclostationarity detection, and introduces a measurement campaign that has been performed in order to have a realistic validation of the proposed solution.
