China is emerging as a leader in the IT outsourcing industry due to its low cost, talented labor pool and quality infrastructure. While those factors are important, security is top of mind for global IT leaders looking at offshore options. They know that technology-enabled innovation is only as good as its protection. In order to become a premier offshore destination, China realizes it must provide effective and credible intellectual property protection. Since joining the World Trade Organization in 2001, China has made tremendous progress to ensure its IP laws are compliant with WTO obligations.
