Executive Summary

Cloud computing refers to computing facilities provided on demand, served over the Internet from shared data centers that exploit enormous economies of scale. This paper basically focuses on data security in cloud computing as there is a concern regarding user privacy protection and also protection against the new threats that may emerge. Here, in this paper the authors are using the concept of "S-IDEA (Secure International Data Encryption Algorithm)" which has been proposed to increase the strength of IDEA to make it more secure. There are basically two propositions to increase security, firstly by increasing the key size and secondly by increasing the amount of diffusion.
