Delivering Network-Based Application Visibility

In today's global, interdependent marketplace, companies increasingly are turning to networked applications to support their most critical business processes. Organizations continue migrating to more distributed workflow models that connect employees, customers, trading partners, and external vendors. These network-based models have demonstrated a tremendous potential to reduce risk, speed time to market, and boost efficiency. However, as their complexity grows, they are also introducing new challenges for the extended enterprise. One of these challenges is visibility. A May 2009 study by the Aberdeen Group entitled "Application Delivery Over The WAN" showed that 60 percent of organizations stated their top application delivery challenge was the inability to identify performance issues before end users are affected.
