Executive Summary

Currently, studies related to technology supporting situated learning are very popular in Taiwan and the most of studies associated with the subject of ecological environment, yet the issues related to English language teaching as second language has not been explored thoroughly. Therefore, this paper works with elementary school English teachers and using "Direction" as the main topic to teach 4th grade students. Integrating the concept of context aware, RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) technology, handheld device (PDA), and communicative language method, an ideal of a situated learning system, English learning supporting system, has been initiated.
