Currently, the demand for multimedia information publication system supporting for multiple terminals is getting more and more emergent. But the capacity of set-top box terminal is limited. In order to improve scalability and reliability, the authors separated its control logic from physical data transmission. Data transmission is optimized to support a large number of terminals with special algorithms. Time-sharing engine is used to improve performance of system when sources exceed the capacity of STB. Evaluation result shows that the system designed in this paper can provide high-quality information display services for terminal users.
