Design of Flexible Protocol for Intrusion Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks
A wireless sensor network is a collection of nodes organized into a cooperative network. Each node consists of processing capability, multiple type of memory, have a power source and accommodate various sensors and actuators. The system are wireless, have scarce power, are real-time, utilize sensors and actuators as interfaces, have dynamically changing set of resources and aggregate behavior is important and location is critical. These issues are taken into consideration in developing a flexible dynamic intrusion detection protocol for high error rate data transmissions. The protocol is deployed in the nodes of the network and it will act as both the forwarding and monitoring node thus avoiding the implementation of special system for intrusion detection in the network.
