Detection and Prevention Denial of Service Attacks in Wireless Mesh Networks

Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) is a one of the key technologies that is widely deployed in today's internet, LAN and WAN, networks due to its simplicity, low setup cost, better performance, self healing and self configurable properties that reduces networks deployment and maintenance overhead. The architecture of mesh networks uses multi-hop, multi-path topology is integrated with wireless protocol like IEEE 802.11, IEEE 802.15 and IEEE 802.16. This paper is targeted to focus on one such attack \"Denial of service\" that decreased the networks performance and throughput hence makes the service unavailable for users.
