Detection of Faulty Sensor Nodes in Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor networks is a type of wireless ad-hoc network has drawn the attention of researchers towards it. Wireless Sensor network consists of sensor nodes which consist of sensor interface, microcontroller, memory and battery units together with a radio module. These nodes perform distributed sensing, data processing and sharing collected data using radio communication. Wireless Sensor networks are prone to failure due to energy depletion, hardware failure, communication link errors, malicious attacks, etc. fault tolerance is the ability of a system to deliver a desired level of functionality in the presence of fault.
