Detection of Misbehaving Nodes in Ad Hoc Routing

The dynamic nature is the major challenge to design and deployment of Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs), which consist of a set of security measures to be resolved. In this paper, the authors compare the behavior of three routing protocols DSDV, DSR and AODV, with the consideration of the node misbehavior. This problem of node misbehavior can be detected and controlled by different techniques such as Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Cooperative Intrusion Detection, watchdog and path rater discussed in this paper which are more efficient than other general techniques.
