Development of ARM Based Embedded Ethernet Interface
The main aim of this paper is to design a technology which can transmit the bulk of data to other systems which are present at the remote location by using LAN network. The demand to have networking capability to embedded systems is continuously increasing. An embedded system may, for example, provide a web server to enable web-based monitoring services, provide remote login for maintenance and upgrading purposes, etc. To run any networking application on an embedded system, it is primary to have a network device driver for the board. In this paper, the authors will be developing an embedded display driver for a board based on S3c2440 (ARM9) processor and having a DM9000 Ethernet controller to enable Ethernet support for embedded applications on the board.
