Business relationships and networks have been studied intensively in business marketing literature, however still little is known about the influence of Information Technology (IT) on business relationships. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the influence of IT on the bonds that exists in the business relationships. Especially this paper focuses on what types of digital bonds are formed in business relationships and how different types of digital bonds (formed between active interactions in the relationship) can be managed. Literature review, conceptual analysis and mini case studies are employed. Based on the paper it is argued that as a consequence of IT deployment in business relationships digital bonds are formed.
