Distributed Dynamic Clustering in Randomly Deployed Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) present a new generation of real-time embedded systems that are being used in a wide variety of applications where traditional networking infrastructure is practically infeasible. However, WSNs have limited computation, energy and memory resources. Recent advances in wireless sensor networks have led to many new protocols specifically designed for sensor networks where energy awareness is an essential consideration. The goals of this paper is to study the various existing routing protocols such as hierarchical routing protocols, clustering methods and propose a new scheme, which enhances the lives of sensor nodes.
