Dynamic Priority and Fairness Based Congestion Control Framework for Heterogeneous WMSNs
In wireless multimedia sensor networks, a sensor node may be equipped with modern motes that have multiple sensor boards on a single radio board and gather different kinds of data. These data may have different characteristics in terms of required priority, delay, bandwidth, reliability, etc. Some of the multimedia applications may generate critical and delay sensitive data which require lower delay and higher bandwidth so that they are reliably delivered to the sink node within the deadline. In this paper, the authors propose a dynamic priority and fairness based congestion control framework for heterogeneous traffic in wireless multimedia sensor networks.
