Former New York Times economics reporter and Columbia University journalism professor Sylvia Nasar will appear at the Kellogg School of Management on February 19 for a one-hour lecture entitled, "Globalization Then and Now: How Nations Create Their Destinies." Professor Nasar will take an in-depth look at globalization from its first wave in the 19th century, and will focus on how today's global policies will have overarching effects on future economic success worldwide. Nasar is appearing as part of the 2008-2009 Kellogg Distinguished Lecture Series, which features preeminent thought leaders from the worlds of academia, journalism and business.
