EECHDA: Energy Efficient Clustering Hierarchy and Data Accumulation for Sensor Networks
A wireless sensor network with a large number of tiny sensor nodes can be used as an effective tool for gathering data for various applications under different situations. One of the major issues in wireless sensor network is developing an energy - efficient routing protocol which has a significant impact on the overall lifetime of the sensor network. Clustering sensor nodes is an effective technique in wireless sensor networks which can increase network energy efficiency, scalability and lifetime. In this paper, the authors have proposed an energy - efficient clustering based protocol for wireless sensor networks. They have considered a set of cluster heads for control and management of the network.
