This paper studied energy-efficient packet transmissions with individual packet delay constraints. The solution presented herein is a generalization of which considered energy-efficient transmissions for a group of packets subject to a single transmission deadline. The optimal offline scheduler for the individual delay constraint model was derived. The properties of the optimal durations and the resulting packet delays were analyzed and compared with those of the single transmission deadline model. While the single transmission deadline model may yield an unbounded packet delay when the number of packets approaches infinity, the individual delay constraint model provides bounded packet delay, roughly equal to half of the delay constraint on average.
