The calculation of the bandwidth available, the latency of audio and control data and making sure the correct number of audio channels can be transmitted is of paramount importance to maintaining Quality of Service (QoS) in an audio network. QoS is very important in professional audio networks where audio needs to be delivered accurately to various nodes on the network.
