Experimental Investigation of Distributed Detection Using a Sensor Network Based on Coupled Oscillator Arrays
The constant evolution of the society towards the creation of a networked environment makes the internet of the things a fact. In this context, the trends point to an exponential growth of ubiquitous sensor networks where RFID-sensor nodes with reduced cost, mobility capabilities, autonomy and interoperability are required. An adequate selection of the appropriate sensor element in terms of targeted application, integration in the system, final cost and power consumption is crucial in order to optimize the overall system design and performance. One of the main concerns in RFID sensor networks is the accuracy of the measured or sensed parameter values and the use of distributed sensor networks appears as a way to improve these systems reliability.
