Video Sensor Networks (VSNs) have different characteristics than traditional Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). The traffic going through a VSN is heavily loaded compared to traditional WSNs with scalar data readings. In this paper, the authors try to reveal the congestion cases and bottlenecks of the network. They choose a surveillance application with constant number of targets in the network. They realize that the frame drops are mainly located at the source. Additionally, congestion in the network increases when the speed of the targets increases.
