Facebook recently launched a new feature called Facebook Places, which lets Facebook members tell each other where they are, what they're doing, and who they're with. The impact for local merchants and small businesses is that you're now more likely to be included in the conversation among Facebook users, because they'll be able to automatically tell each other where they are, not just what they're doing.
