In this paper, a new method for resource allocation in TDMA managed wireless mesh networks without energy constraint is studied. In particular two distributed protocols are proposed with the aim to find a trade off between system fairness and global network capacity. Two pre-existing schedulers have been used as terms of comparison: a round robin scheduler and an opportunistic scheduler. Simulation results show that proposed protocols improve the level of fairness with respect to both opportunistic and round robin schedulers, and reach higher global network capacity than the system where round robin is used.
