Fast-Group-Decodable STBCs Via Codes Over GF(4): Further Results

In this paper, the authors have constructed a new class of FD and FGD codes with full-diversity and cubic shaping property via codes over F4. The new codes that are of full-rate are information lossless as well. They also gave a sufficient condition for a design to lead to full diversity STBCs when the real symbols are encoded pair-wise using rotated square QAM constellations. Some of the directions for future work are as follows: proving the non-vanishing determinant property, either in the affirmative or otherwise, of the new class of codes proposed in this paper is an interesting direction to pursue. The problem of constructing explicit constellations for the designs considered in this paper, that provably lead to full-diversity STBCs remains to be explored.
