Fault Tolerant Advance Reservation-Based Scheduling in Computational Grid
Grid computing provides the ability to access, utilize and control a variety of underutilized heterogeneous resources distributed across multiple administrative domains. Advance reservation strategy is very important for improving the resource utilization. It is the planning of allocation of jobs for future use of different resources. In grid computing environment, failure recovery mechanisms of advance reservation are particularly important. However, providing fault tolerant framework for advance reservation is not easy due to the various failures occurred in grid environment. The authors' model, Fault Tolerant Advance Reservation-based Scheduling in Computational Grid providing the fault tolerance for Resource failure and Time-out failure in advance reservation environment.
