The Time synchronization error effect the performance of OFDM receiver and Carrier frequency synchronization is critical to the quality of signal reception in OFDM systems. In this paper, the authors discuss different time synchronization algorithm for improve the performance of OFDM receiver also in this paper they discuss approximate Maximum-Likelihood (ML) Carrier Frequency offset (CFO)estimation scheme based on time-domain channel estimates which retain the CFO information in the form of phase rotation. They used joint synchronization to show the BER and MSE performance. They show that BER performance with fine timing is better for all the algorithm.
